Weaver & Associates: Dameron Jennifer S MD in Normal, Illinois

I have gone to Dr. Dameron for years, and LOVED her. Unfortunately one negative experienced happened after another. There were times the front desk staff were straight up rude to me. Her nurse sends my anxiety through the roof. While pregnant with twins she would questioned my concerns, and I would get off the phone feeling crazy. To the point I was afraid to contact the office. One day I was feeling off, and did not want to call them. I spoke to an OB Manager at work, and she encouraged to be checked out. I got up the nerve to call, and I was in labor at 29 weeks. I ended up being life flighted to OSF St. Francis where care was exceptional. Dr. Dameron's office never contacted me for a courtesy call, or to check on my status. I'm sure they spoke to the medical professionals, but not with me which may not be in their standard of practice. Personally, I think it should be. After the birth of my girls, I decided to put this all behind me and continue to receive care from Dr. Dameron because I have liked her so much. It's the staff that has made me uncomfortable. Recently I had a medication change, and started to become nauseous each morning. This medication change was by Dr. Dameron, and appeared to be hormonal related. I contacted the office, and they completed blood work. Since I was not pregnant, they were not concerned about anything else. I continued to throw up each day, and was miserable. I ended up having to go to prompt care on a Saturday because I would not stop throwing up. I called them that Monday to explain the situation. The nurse was definitely frustrated with me for calling again. She continued to say that I will most likely be referred to GI. They would not get me in with Dr. Dameron for 2 weeks. Instead they kept ordering tests, like a gallbladder scan which was unable to be scheduled for a few weeks too. In the meantime, a medical professional friend of mine was concerned about my IUD and whether or not it was causing the symptoms. She contacted the office, and the nurse literally said with a huge sigh "I have been talking to her like everyday." Unprofessional, and rude. They set up an appointment with the NP. The NP was incredibly nice to me, and felt an Ultrasound was needed to rule out cyst. As I went into the Ultrasound tech's room, she immediately started questioning me. "What are we doing this for?" I informed her of what the NP had said. She inquired about the gallbladder scan, and I informed her that I had not been able to get in for that. She said "that's more important than this." She proceeded to tell me that I needed to "stop messing around with Prompt Cares." I had been to ONE and that was because I couldn't stop throwing up on a Saturday. I'm assuming she said this because the office had been talking about my care, and their frustrations with me. That does not make a person feel good, or cared for. Also since my medical professional friend contacted them, I'm assuming they thought I went to two prompt cares. Either way, not appropriate for the Ultrasound tech to be questioning me like this. With all of this said, I NEVER even had an exam by Dr. Dameron. All of this had been over the phone (besides the first blood work) until I saw the NP. Anyways, after this experience I refuse to go back there. It's been over 3 months since all of this started. I went to GI, and they are convinced it is hormone related. I had to have an EGD to rule this out. Everything was fine besides some signs of acid reflux, which he didn't think was causing my symptoms. The medication that Dr. Dameron originally put me on, he felt may have caused this too. So I'm still working on this while looking for another OBGYN. I'm sad about all of this because I have recommended Dr. Dameron to multiple friends in the past because I liked her so much, but I refuse to be treated horribly again by this office.
