CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- UPDATE: 3:45 p.m. - Power has been restored to all Southern Illinois University campus buildings. Normal operations and activities resume on Saturday, April 15. ORIGINAL: Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) will be closed Friday, April 14 due to an Ameren power outage on campus. All classes (face to face, hybrid and online) are canceled. Residence halls, including residential dining services, and the Department of Public Safety will remain open and staff should report as normal.
